In Dr Azran's class, he taught us how to find standard deviation, variance, regression and make the scatter graph just using the excel.

After that, Dr wanted to make a quiz regarding what he taught today( of course about excel!)
Haha.. the quiz was online at that time. Everybody must access and answer the quiz just in 10 minutes! 😓
Without wasting the time , we access the link as fast as lightning and answer the quiz. Fortunately, the quiz was easy and same like what we had practiced.
He continued to teach about protein data bank and nucleic acids data bank. He explained about how to search article using PubMed and field tags. For example, if we want to search about that title only, we need to put [TI] at the end of the title,

We proceed to DNA and protein sequences: -
1. DNA sequences contain only four letters ( Guanine,Adenine,Thymine,Cytosine)
2. Protein sequences use 20 letters.
In the chromosomes of a cell, DNA occurs as fine, spirally coiled threads that in turn coils around another, like a twisted ladder.
Do you know , when the length of DNA uncoiled is equivalent to nearly 70 trips from the earth to the sun and back. That is really, really wonderful. Can you imagine the DNA are inside our body?!

We got an assignment from Dr. Azran about the gene. We need to encode the gene and do some research about it. Next week we are going to have a presentation regarding the gene that have been given to us. Wish all of us the best of luck!
